Sitting proudly within Kent’s last medieval deer park, Knole is a vast estate where visitors follow in the footsteps of tourists who have visited Knole’s showrooms for 400 years. The showrooms display one of the finest collections of Royal Stuart furniture and textiles and feature paintings by renowned artists. Take in panoramic views from the top of the Gatehouse Tower, where you can also discover the life and loves of a former resident. See the scale and magnificence of this 600-year-old estate by exploring the grand courtyards or wander through the parkland.
Visit The Royal Oak Foundation Conservation Studio (Wednesday to Saturday) to see experts conserving treasures from National Trust collections.
Brewhouse Café offers drinks, snacks and light lunches, with indoor seating as well as outdoor seating on the roof terrace. The gift shop sells souvenirs, fashion and home accessories, food and drink, and locally made gifts, while in the Bookshop you’ll find titles inspired by Knole’s collections and literary history as well as a children’s area filled with toys and books.
During 2024 we’ll be exploring the story of Vita Sackville-West’s life at Knole through to her wedding in 1913.
Booking is essential to guarantee entry. Please see Knole’s website to book your tickets and for more information www.nationaltrust.org.uk/knole
