Voices of Freiburg Exhibition at Guildford House

About

Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the twinning of Guildford and Freiburg!

An exhibition of fascinating works by five working Freiburg artists – paintings, sculptures, installations – presented by Guildford Twinning Association, in partnership with Guildford Borough Council, and Guildford House Gallery.

It includes works from a project called “Voices of the World, Voices of Freiburg” by two of the artists, Maria Christina Tangorra and AnneMarie Matzakow.

This focuses on the importance of religion, mysticism and philosophical thought in peoples’ lives, and how this relates to our feeling secure where we live, finding intriguing ways of representing these feelings both verbally and visually.
