Local weaver Alice Hume will present a talk with photographs and samples of her project, From Soil to Cloth, which aims to develop urban textile gardens in the city of Portsmouth.
The textile industry is the second largest polluter, and yet natural fibres can be grown and are biodegradable.
Find out more about home-grown Portsmouth Linen in this fascinating talk organised as part of Heritage Open Days.
The talk is free to attend but pre-booking is required as capacity is limited. You can book via Eventbrite.
