Join the National Museum of the Royal Navy's collections team for a behind-the-scenes tour of the Storehouse 12 collections centre. With 2024 a huge anniversary year for Portsmouth, this tour will have a specific focus on objects, documents and images that tell the story of the people involved in the D-Day landings 80 years ago.
Visitors will see unusual and historically significant objects and documents that are rarely available to the public. It will also provide the chance to learn more about how the museum collects and looks after Britain's naval heritage. As the world marks the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings you can meet a curator who will share stories and artefacts that will reveal more about the role of the Royal Navy during this crucial operation.
Spaces are limited so should be booked in advance to avoid disappointment on the day. Booking only gives you access to this event - a valid ticket is required for entry to the museums and ships.
