Broughton Poggs & Filkins Gardens - NGS Open Day

About

15 gardens and flourishing allotments in these beautiful and vibrant Cotswold stone twin villages.  Scale and character vary from the grand landscape setting of Filkins Hall to the small but attractive Pigeon Cottage, Taylor Cottage and The Tallot.  Broughton Poggs Mill has a rushing mill stream with an exciting bridge.  Pip Cottage combines topiary, box hedges and a fine rural view.  In these and the other equally exciting and varied gardens horticultural interest abounds.  Features include plant stall by professional local nursery, Swinford Museum of Cotswolds tools and artefacts and Cotswold Woollen Weavers.  Many gardens have gravel driveways, but most of suitable for wheelchair access.  Most gardens welcome dogs on leads.  Home-made teas in aid of local church.
