Built by Sir Walter Raleigh in 1594 and stately home of the Digby family since 1617. Sherborne Castle presents glorious staterooms displaying nationally important collections of Art, Furniture & Porcelain. In the Castle's cellar’s view Raleigh's kitchen, and a museum presenting fascinating family artefacts, Fossil & Archive displays, and a 'Capability' Brown exhibition drawn from the archives tells of his impact and legacy on the Garden.

The fabulous Grade 1 listed Garden is a must see for all arborists, horticulturalists and anyone who appreciates a lake landscape. Paths and trails lead you through 42 acres of Gardens and Pleasure Grounds commanding spectacular views of more than 1,000 acres of lake and parkland.

Private guided tours and self-guided tours for groups of 15 or more are available for pre-booking.

Dogs should be kept on leads.
