About

The finest Palladian house in the northwest, Tabley was designed by John Carr of York for the Leicester family and built between 1761 - 1767. It houses one of the finest collections of English paintings, including works by Turner, Reynolds, Lawrence and Dobson. Furniture by Gillow, Bullock, and Chippendale, together with fascinating family memorabilia adorn the rooms.

Tabley has been use as a TV and film location for various productions. The elegant gallery is licensed for Weddings.
Characterful tea room and 17th Century Chapel including Burne-Jones window.
