Lotherton is a beautiful Edwardian country estate and hall set within expansive grounds on the outskirts of Leeds. Discover Lotherton and explore the Edwardian hall filled with hidden treasures, encounter animals from across the globe at Wildlife World and stroll the expansive grounds and gardens.

Home to the Gascoignes from 1825 until the family gifted the estate to Leeds in 1968, Lotherton Hall is a fine example of Edwardian and Victorian design with an extensive collection of decorative arts along with dedicated Fashion Galleries.

The beautiful Edwardian gardens cover an impressive eight acres and include a walled garden with rose beds and herbaceous borders featuring scented flowers, creepers and perennials. Beyond the formal gardens you will find woodlands and the former farmland now made up of the orchard, deer park and open grassy fields for picnics and play. Explore the grounds with one of the free family trails, simple pick one up when you arrive.

Winter opening times: Please note that the Hall is closed during January and February but offers guided tours at 11 and 2 (except during February half term). Café, shop, Wildlife World: 10am – 4pm, last entry 3.15pm. Estate gates (October – March): 7.30am – 6pm
