Fully live-in Tudor half-timbered manor house with Tilting Ground. Former home of Mary Fitton, Mail of Honour at the court of Queen Elizabeth 1, and the supposed 'Dark Lady' of Shakespear's sonnets. Fine pictures, sculpture, furniture and beautiful frounds adjoining a medieval church. Garden Theatre performances take place in the Hall courtyard in July and August.
