About

One of England's finest Tudor manor houses. Built about 1440, it has been occupied by the same family since 1540. Superb architecture, a fine collection of portraits and furniture from the 16th to 20thC. It is a rare survival of the 'gentry' house and is remarkably unchanged. Adjacent to village church. The Walled Garden, with more than 5000 plants serves delicious light lunches and cream teas.
