About

Built in 1604-1607 by John Urquhart Tutor of Cromarty. A sculpted balcony unique in Scottish architecture depicts a piper, two grinning knights and David and Goliath. Remarkable carved oak panels of Scottish kings' biblical heroes, mounted in doors and shutters of the early 17th century.

  • Accessible to Wheelchair Users - As a very old building we have many stairs, but the ground floor is accessible with wheelchair. At the ground floor you can see the sculped family crest in the hall, the cloakroom, visit the old kitchen with the dumb waiter, the corridor with the traditional old bells, a nice bedroom, that was a children playroom and the view on the charming and grand colonial room.
