About

Chillington Hall in South Staffordshire is the most recent building on a very ancient site. The present house is a product of two differing Georgian styles, the South side built in 1724 by Francis Smith of Warwick, has rooms of an intimate size contrasted with those built on a far grander scale by John Soane some sixty years later.

Guided tours of this magnificent Stately Home are available on selected public open dates, and for pre-booked groups at other times of the year by arrangement. Our knowledgeable guides will give you an in-depth history of this family house and its ancestors, and its contents.

Chillington has been the home of the Giffards for more than 800 years - the present owner being the 29th. The house is also available for group visits, wedding receptions, and corporate events.
