Bristol Pirate Walks are fun and informative charting Bristol's often grizzly 16th-18th century maritime history highlighting slavery, discovery, trading, and of course piracy. Run by the very charismatic Pirate Pete, the one-hour guided tours are packed-full of interesting historical insights, facts and anecdotes around Bristol's historic Harbourside. During the walk, you’ll encounter Long John Silver’s treasure chest in the smugglers cave, visit Treasure Island’s Spy Glass Inn where the press gangs roamed, as well as uncover Blackbeard’s Lair in the medieval port.

Before each walk guests will be instructed to, where possible, keep a suitable distance from other people. For example, when waiting at crossings and traffic lights. Take precautions where this is not possible. As this is an outside walk, masks are not necessary. A track and trace sheet will be provided for customers to fill in before every walk.

Walks have been updated to include the story of Guinea Street which featured on the BBC programme ‘A House Through Time’, and the background to Edward Colston.

The Swashbuckling Tales book, will also be available to purchase at a special offer of £10 on the day of every walk, signed by Pirate Pete himself. Books will also be available to purchase direct at £15 including postage. Send an e-mail to to request your book now! An ideal gift for friends and relatives worldwide as well as a great suvionier.
