Drakes Hotel

About

Sitting directly on the sea front with fabulous views of the iconic Palace Pier, Drakes retains their pole position as the most luxurious and romance boutique hotels in Brighton. Having opened their doors over 12 years ago, the hotel has lost none of its edginess and city chic. Their discreet sign says everything about this place. They’re not into flashy displays at this double-fronted listed Georgian townhouse and most people who stay there have been recommended by someone in the know.

Rooms are spectacularly stylish, most with free-standing baths in front of large picture windows (the best views from the first floor rooms), with luscious hand-made beds dressed with goose down duvets and velvet throws. On request, a bubble bath can be run for your arrival and a selection of fabulous extras can be ordered to enhance your stay.

All 20 bedrooms at Drakes are individually designed to make the most of the space and features of each room and are packed full of luxurious comforts such as, 'White Company' products, large waffle bathrobes and glossy magazines.

Do remember to book a table in their excellent fine dining restaurant, having enjoyed an aperitif in the slick cocktail bar beforehand.

3 course table d’hôte menu £45pp; 5 course Chef's Taster Menu £60pp; set lunch menu from £20; dietaries catered for. Last orders 1345 and 2145; breakfast 0730-1000.

Gourmet Getaway incl. 5 course dinner, B&B for 2 sharing from £240. Romantic Package available from £265, for 2 people sharing a luxury double room.

Bar open to residents and non residents.
