Deans Place Hotel

About

Alfriston is a picture postcard village nestling in the South Downs, with the river Cuckmere running through it, just behind the hotel, antique and curio shops, a 14th century church, a 15th century pub and the Old Clergy House. The South Downs Way runs along beside the river and Drusilla's Zoo Park is just outside the village. Originally the centre of a large farming estate, Deans Place became a hotel at the beginning of the 20th century. This family run hotel has 36 individually styled bedrooms, ranging from single through to four-poster, each with freeview TV and DVD player, luxury toiletries and complimentary WiFi. Cuisine has been awarded two AA Rosettes and Harcourts Restaurant has a monthly changing menu, reflecting the best of Sussex produce according to season. The hotel offers a full events programme throughout the year with many themed evening and weekend break offers. Deans Place is handy for Brighton, Lewes, Glyndebourne Opera and the many attractions of the Sussex coast.

Activities nearby: Riding and tennis. Golf 6 miles.

Deans Place Hotel is open all year.

Rooms: 36
