Explore Trewithen House: A Historical Masterpiece

The main attraction is Trewithen House, an elegant early 18th-century Georgian residence. The stately home features exquisite architecture, period furnishings, and rooms filled with portraits, artifacts, and memorabilia reflecting the lives of the generations who have lived there. Guided tours reveal the history of the Hawkins family and the estate, offering fascinating insight into the people and stories that shaped Trewithen.

Trewithen Gardens: A Plant Lover’s Paradise

The estate’s 30-acre gardens are a highlight for plant enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. Recognised as an International Camellia Society ‘Garden of Excellence,’ Trewithen is celebrated for its magnolias, camellias, and rhododendrons, many rare specimens collected from around the world. Meandering woodland trails showcase 37 Champion Trees and 87 Cornish Champions, alongside wildlife habitats and lush greenery. The gardens burst into colour from early spring to late summer, making every visit a feast for the senses. Garden-guided tours for groups are available.
