Step back to the 15th century at the Bosworth Medieval Festival 2026, one of England’s largest and most exciting living history events. Taking place at the historic Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre on 22–23 August 2026, this spectacular weekend brings the Wars of the Roses vividly to life with thrilling battle re-enactments, medieval encampments, family activities and authentic demonstrations.
Whether you’re fascinated by history, looking for a memorable family day out or simply want to soak up the atmosphere of a medieval festival, Bosworth Medieval Festival offers something for all ages. Set on the site of the famous Battle of Bosworth, where Richard III met his fate in 1485, visitors can immerse themselves in the sights, sounds and excitement of medieval England.
The highlight of the weekend is the spectacular battle re-enactments staged by members of the Wars of the Roses Federation. Watch armoured knights clash on the battlefield as they recreate both a Yorkist victory and the dramatic Battle of Bosworth, complete with authentic weapons, tactics and costumes.
Throughout the festival, visitors can also explore medieval camps where knowledgeable re-enactors demonstrate daily life, craftsmanship, cooking, armour and weaponry while sharing fascinating insights into life during the late medieval period.

A wide range of food and drink vendors will be serving everything from hearty meals to sweet treats throughout the weekend, while the medieval market offers handmade crafts, historic replicas and unique souvenirs.
History enthusiasts can also attend special author talks (additional ticket required) and witness the moving Rose Laying Ceremony, commemorating those who fought and died during the Battle of Bosworth and the Wars of the Roses.

We welcome coach parties but spaces are limited so pre-booking is essential. If you are looking to bring a group of 10 or more please contact us.
Car parking is free for the weekend of the Bosworth Medieval Festival.
Sea Cadets will be on hand to direct you to a parking space. If you require accessible parking, please inform the Sea Cadet team on arrival.
Overflow parking will be situated in a nearby field which is on a gentle slope.
