You’ll meet amazing animated Augmented Reality (AR) characters and charming illustrated figures who will guide you through Oldham’s past with fascinating facts, exciting mini-activities (like puzzles and challenges), and a special clue for a trail-wide puzzle.
It’s a fantastic way for the whole family to discover the town’s amazing heritage together, any time!
How to Play – It’s Easy!
- Find a Stop: You can start at any stop you like and visit them in any order, even across different days.
- Scan the Code: Simply use your smartphone’s camera or QR code reader to scan the QR code on the marker. No app downloads or registration needed.
- Explore & Collect: Meet the stop’s character, read their story, enjoy the mini-activity, and collect your letter for the trail-wide puzzle.
- Solve & Win! Once you’ve visited all 12 stops, you can solve the puzzle to claim your free digital activity pack and special treat* from the Waterstones inside The Spindles (*whilst stocks last; during trading hours only).
