Families are invited to enjoy a relaxed and joyful Summer Family Fun Day at The Monastery Manchester, celebrating 30 years of community, nature and shared moments at one of the city’s most extraordinary heritage sites.
With a welcoming garden party atmosphere, the event takes place across the Monastery’s beautiful Healing Garden and Peace Garden, offering a fun and friendly day out for all ages.
Visitors can enjoy a range of family-friendly activities including donkey rides for children, an interactive animal handling experience, live music from Gorton Voice Choir, wildlife talks, garden games and creative activities for younger visitors. Children can also take part in drawing activities and a bug hunt, while families are invited to paint their own Peace Pebble to place in the Peace Garden.
The event also features market stalls from local makers and community groups, a plant sale, food trucks and outdoor refreshments, as well as the Monastery’s popular Welcome Wing Café.
At the heart of the afternoon, visitors are invited to take part in a Circle of Peace, a simple shared moment of reflection and connection celebrating the community that has supported the Monastery over the past thirty years.
With activities both outdoors and inside the historic Monastery building, this welcoming event offers a lovely way to spend a summer afternoon with family and friends.
